The existing playground at Fotheringham Reserve has reached the end of its usual asset lifespan and is ready for replacement. The current play equipment has a focus on children aged 3 to 12 years old, and we plan to maintain this focus for the replacement playground.

We have allocated a budget of $380,000 in the Draft 2024–25 Annual Business Plan to upgrade the playground and rubber softfall. If this budget is endorsed in June 2024, we plan to use this money to install new play equipment, including (but not limited to) a swing, a slide and climbing equipment. We would like to find out what fourth element of play equipment you would like to have at this site.

This work is in line with our Parks and Gardens Asset Management Plan. We expect to start construction in February 2025 and to complete work by the end of June 2025.
