What's happening

The existing playground at Fotheringham Reserve has reached the end of its usual asset lifespan and is ready for replacement. The current play equipment has a focus on children aged 3 to 12 years old, and we plan to maintain this focus for the replacement playground.

We have allocated a budget of $380,000 in the 2024–25 Annual Business Plan to upgrade the playground and rubber softfall. We plan to use this money to install new play equipment, including (but not limited to) a swing, a slide and climbing equipment.

Please view the design below for the new playground, that has been selected based on feedback we received during community engagement. Construction of the playground is scheduled to begin in early 2025 and be completed by 30 June 2025.

What we asked

We know it is essential to include sliding, climbing and swinging within the new playground. We asked our community to share what fourth element of play equipment you would like to have at this reserve.
