The Try Before You Ride public transport program (organised by Feros Care) is back again this year at Glanville Train station!

Try Before You Ride days have been held in Adelaide since 2023. People with disability and their supporters who may not have felt confident using the train system are able to experience how to catch a train or bus and get to where they want to go.

Attendees are taken through various features of the public transport system in Adelaide and cover details such as:

  • how easy it is and what signs to look out for
  • how to buy a metro ticket or pass
  • where to find help or directions so they can get to where they are going on time and safely
  • how to board and alight from a train safely

They also learn about the accessible features such as where mobility aids can be safely stowed and the use of communication boards and picture stories.

Department of Transport, Keolis Downer, Torrens Transit and Guide Dogs as project partners will be in the car park of the train station to greet people at the start of their session.

There will also be a Metro Bus on site for people to explore.
