What's happening

The existing playground at Waite Street Reserve has reached the end of its usual asset lifespan and is ready for replacement. The current play equipment has a focus on children aged 3 to 12 years, and we plan to maintain this focus for the replacement playground.

We have allocated a budget of $195,000 in the 2024–25 Annual Business Plan to upgrade the playground and rubber softfall. We plan to use this money to install new play equipment, including (but not limited to) a swing, a slide and climbing equipment.

Please view the design below for the new playground, that has been selected based on feedback we received during community engagement. We expect to start construction in early December 2024 and be completed by 30 January 2025.

Next steps

We have now selected a final playground concept design, based on the equipment you told us you'd like to see during community engagement.

Constuction of the new playground is scheduled to begin in early December 2024 and be completed by 30 January 2025.

Thank you for your interested and involvement in this project.
