What we asked
Consultation commenced in January 2025 and continued with physical drop-ins and opportunities to comment and provide feedback on the draft 'Going Circular to 2030 Strategy'.
Below are the questions asked.
What we heard
Feedback received was supportive of the draft strategy and highlighted community interest in expanding education programs, improving infrastructure, and exploring innovative approaches to waste and resource recovery. These insights have been incorporated into the final strategy.
Engagement by communities of both Councils has been very positive and supportive of the program put forward in the draft strategy. The engagement process has yielded additional input and feedback that has now been incorporated into the strategy as changes.
Input received will also assist in the development of some of the key projects identified within the strategy. These projects include the upcoming major review of education services, and the review of the region’s operations and facilities. Both of those projects will be undertaken by CAWRA in the 2025/26 financial year
