The engagement activities we undertake with our community vary depending on the topic, complexity, level of community interest and influence stakeholders may have over final outcomes.
Community engagement can include informing (communications), consultation and active community participation. Our engagement work is guided by our Community Engagement Framework Participate PAE and the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Spectrum of Public Participation.
The participation spectrum sets out the differing participation goals, our promise to community and what this might look like to you. In most cases, we will use a combination of techniques to ensure engagement processes are effective and genuine.
We aim to ensure that residents and stakeholders have access to the information they need to participate in engagements and understand the things we do, the decisions we make and the outcomes of the engagement process.
We make efforts to 'close-the-loop' with project contributors and followers. We may occasionally send information to acknowledge a contribution, provide key updates on engagement and project processes and outcomes.
To find out more about our community engagement approach, see our Participate PAE Communication and Engagement Framework.
