What is Social Infrastructure?
Social Infrastructure is the places and spaces that form the basis of strong communities, where people can meet, learn, celebrate and do things together. The draft Social Infrastructure plan focuses on our Libraries, Community Centres and Community Halls.
Accessible, welcoming, safe and fit-for-purpose social infrastructure is important for community connection, resilience and participation.
The Social Infrastructure Plan sets directions for City-wide changes, and plans for 4 precincts including some Big Moves. It sets out our directions and plans for the next 15 years. This includes our commitment to undertake further community engagement with you along the way.
We all use and value social infrastructure in different ways and at different times in our lives.
