What's happening

The Largs Bay foreshore playspace is a very popular site with local and visiting families. The existing play equipment has reached the end of it's useful asset life and the new playspace will have a focus on inclusive play equipment offering opportunities for different ages and abilities. This will be complemented by the 'changing places facility' being constructed in 2023/2024 as part of the new public toilet facilities.

Thank you very much for sharing your ideas on the types of play equipment you would like to have at the upgraded Largs Bay Playspace and for sharing your feedback on the draft concept design.

Construction of the new playspace will begin in early 2024 with the northern half of playground being closed to public use from the 12 February and the full playground closing from the 21 February to the end of June 2024. View a map of the project exclusion zone.

We are looking forward to achieving these significant and lasting improvements to community facilities at the Largs Bay foreshore and can’t wait to see our community enjoying these spaces. We apologise for any inconvenience that will be experienced during this period and we thank you for your patience.
