Our Parks and Gardens Asset Management Plan lists all existing playgrounds and details when they are due for replacement based on when they were installed, their usage and their proximity to the ocean. Our Active Recreation Plan looks at play and active recreation spaces across the City of PAE and works to ensure we have the right spread of spaces across our community for different ages, abilities and interests.

Thanks to a partnership between Rotary Adelaide, these playgrounds are being given a second chance to bring joy to children in developing countries.

Playgrounds in Australia have a useful life of about 15 years before they need to be replaced to conform with Australian Standards. However, the PAE playgrounds are well-maintained and have play left in them, which is why they are being donated to Rotary volunteers for restoration and shipment to countries in need.

Thanks to this initiative, children in developing countries will have access to safe and functional playgrounds, which will provide them with the opportunity to engage in physical activity and play, promoting their healthy development and well-being.

We have a Public Toilet Plan which looks at the replacement of existing and installation of new toilets across PAE based on usage and needs at different reserves and public spaces. In 2024 we will be reviewing this plan to assist with planning for our communities future toilet needs.
